Introducing the CheckMyStay blog

CheckMyStay is a Chrome extension for Booking.com. Open a hotel page, and it reads the guest reviews for you. You get the good, the bad, and one honest verdict, in about ten seconds, instead of an evening of scrolling.

This blog is where we will say what ships. Every time the extension or the site changes in a way you would notice, a short post goes here. No filler, just what changed and why.

Here is what shipped in September:

• A simpler plan. The free tier gives you 3 hotels every 30 days. If you need more, the Trip Pass costs $4.99, is paid once, and gives unlimited hotels for 30 days. It does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
• Better review collection. The extension now pages through Booking.com reviews newest first, drops empty and duplicate reviews, and keeps the language each review was written in. Summaries are built from cleaner input.
• A new look. The site, the dashboard and the legal pages were redesigned around one paper-and-ink style, with the price visible before you sign in.
• Clearer errors. A server problem is no longer reported to you as a rate limit.
