These Terms

These terms apply when you use CheckMyStay ("we", "our", or "us"): the Chrome extension, this website, and the account that goes with them. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.

What the Service Is

CheckMyStay reads the hotel reviews that Booking.com already shows on the page you are viewing, and sends them to an AI model that writes a short summary. The summary is an opinion about review text. It is not travel advice, and it is not a recommendation to book or to avoid a hotel. You decide where you stay.

AI Summaries Can Be Wrong

  • Summaries are generated by an AI model. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong.
  • We do not check summaries by hand, and we do not promise they match the full set of reviews.
  • Read the hotel page and the original reviews before you book.

Free Use and the Trip Pass

  • Free: 3 different hotels in a rolling 30 day window. Hotels you already analyzed stay open to you, and follow-up questions are free.
  • Trip Pass: 4.99 USD, paid once. It gives you unlimited hotels for 30 days from the moment we activate it on your account.
  • No auto-renew: the Trip Pass is a one-time payment. It is not a subscription. Nothing is charged again. When the 30 days end, your account goes back to the free allowance.
  • Your pass is tied to the email address you pay with. Use the same email as your CheckMyStay account so we can match the payment to you.
  • Activation happens after our payment provider confirms the payment. This usually takes a few seconds, but it is not instant.

Payments

Our order process is run by Creem.io. Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Creem handles the checkout, payment, tax, and billing support, and the Creem terms apply to the purchase itself. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

Your Account

  • You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account safe: anyone who can sign in can use your allowance.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share an account or a Trip Pass.
  • You must be 13 or older to use the service.

Acceptable Use

Do not:

  • Use scripts, bots, or many accounts to get around the free allowance.
  • Resell the summaries, or make them available as your own product or API.
  • Attack, overload, or reverse engineer our servers or the extension.
  • Use the service to break the law, or to break the rules of Booking.com.

If you do any of this, we can suspend or close your account. If we close a paid account for abuse, we do not refund the remaining days.

We Are Not Booking.com

CheckMyStay is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Booking.com or Booking Holdings. All trademarks belong to their owners. We do not control Booking.com pages, and a change on their side can stop the extension from working.

Service Availability

We do our best to keep the service up, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. We can change or stop features. If we stop the service while you hold an active Trip Pass, write to us and we will arrange a refund for the unused days.

Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for your travel decisions, for a bad stay, for lost money or lost time, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law in your country.

Changes to These Terms

We can update these terms. We show the change by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.

Payments and Refunds

Armitage Labs OÜ, which operates Creem.io, is the merchant of record for every Trip Pass. Creem takes the payment, issues the invoice, handles sales tax, and processes refunds. Your payment contract is with Creem, and the Creem buyer terms apply to it. See our Refund Policy for how to ask for your money back.
